My 2018

A lot has happened in my life this year, mostly for the good! 2018 will definitely be a year that I’ll look back on with a smile.

The most important thing to happen to me this year was buying a house. This is still quite a new thing as I only finished moving in mid December, but it already feels like home. My boyfriend and I have been dreaming about this for years, and I can’t believe it’s finally happened. We’ve rented a lot of different places together so it’s nice to say this is actually my own home. It wasn’t an easy process, we had offers rejected but my boyfriend managed to sort it all out, for which I’m so thankful. We’re still a long way away from having it how we want it but we can start making plans and know that it’s something that will happen. We just need to keep up the hard work.

Another big thing is that I started a job that I’m in love with. I work for Clinique as a consultant, and working with skincare and helping people daily really is an amazing feeling. Having had trouble with my skin for so long, it’s great to be able to learn knew things daily, and help others who are struggling too. Being able to say I helped, and seeing people’s results makes all the stress worth it. I feel really at home in this company and are looking to progress, and stay here for a while.

Some great things happened to those around me this year and I’m so excited for everyone. My eldest brother got engaged! He’s been with his partner for quite a few years now, and it’s nice to see them settling down. My boyfriends brother also got engaged, and it’s been really amazing to see how he’s changed since meeting his fiancé. Their wedding plan sounds amazing as well so I’m very excited for that! They also moved into their first home this year too, so it’s been a real banger for them.

My boyfriends sister got pregnant this year too! Since I met her and her partner, I knew they were going to be great parents & I know it’s something they’ve always wanted, so I’m overjoyed for them! I can’t wait to meet the little lemon next year.

My parents also moved into a new house. Well, it’s not a new house to them as it’s been in the family for a while, but it’s a new home for them to share. It’s been exciting as they’ve always lived in the same house, which is a lot smaller, so they’ve got a lot of freedom to do things and decorate how they couldn’t before. My brother is now living in their old house by himself. It’ll be for him to have a bit more independence and show of his creativity as well.

My pup turned 1 this year, and I’m honestly the proudest pup mum! I don’t think I could love anything as much as I do my little man.

I went abroad for the first time this year as well. My boyfriend and I stayed in France for a few days in summer and it was amazing and beautiful and I can’t wait to go abroad again. I got a great (wonky) tan and ate some amazing food so I highly recommend going!

I hope your year was as good as mine, and if not, here’s hoping 2019 has some goodies lined up for you!

Until next time

    1. Thank you! I’ve not heard the story from my brother yet, but my boyfriends brother took his fiancé for a romantic walk in their favourite park and popped the question. Yes! I’m very excited for this year! I hope yours is full of fun and excitement too!💕
