My last blog post was back in mid July, which means it’s only been a few weeks, but a lot has changed for me in those weeks. The main reason I took a break from blogging was because I’d started having job interviews and I was putting all of my effort into those and keeping my house sorted. I’d been in a bit of a rut, having not been earning any money, and I felt like I needed to put all my effort into finding a way to earn, and blogging just wasn’t doing that for me. This seriously decreased my blogger motivation. I’d also been on holiday to Boulogne-sur-mer, so I didn’t blog during that. If you’d like a post on my holiday, please let me know!
I have now officially got a job, and although today was only my second day, and there’s no guarantee I’ll pass probation, I feel so much better getting out he house, learning new things, meeting new people, and obviously earning some money. I feel so motivated to do all sorts of things now, and I know this won’t last but I’m trying to make the most of it. Obviously I have a lot less time to focus on blogger duties now though so it might take a while to find a balance, or I might fall of the face of the earth again! Who knows.
If you’re interested, I now work full time on the Clinique counter in John Lewis Cribbs Causeway. This is the first job I’ve had in the beauty industry and I’m loving it! It’s so exciting and fun and I literally get paid to 1) play with makeup, & 2) help people with skincare and makeup problems. As my boyfriend said, it’s the perfect job for me!
I’m also super excited because I get to wear my own clothes, but I have to look smart, which is new and for the time being, fun.
Hopefully I’ll be able to keep to a regular schedule, and I’ll definitely keep most posts about drugstore and bargain beauty products, but working in a John Lewis I may come across products that I really like that aren’t drugstore, but I’ll only talk about them if I’ve used them and genuinely like them!
I hope this clears up where I’ve been recently. Thank you for taking the time to read this little post, and I’ll be back to regular posts on Monday (I’ve already got a few lines up).
