Pop of colour! summer eye look

I have a habit of either going all out with colour, or going full neutral when it comes to eye looks. I’ve seen a lot of people do nude eye looks and inserting a pop of colour in there somewhere, and I thought I should finally have a go.

One of my favourite ways that people insert colour into their looks, is by using it on their lower lash line, and Although I had an idea of what I wanted, I ended up going for something slightly different, but equally as pretty I think.

For this look, I used the revolution re-loaded iconic division palette for the ‘nude’ aspect, and the NYX ultimate brights palette for the colour.

I used the ivory colour in the revolution palette to set my lids, and the mustard yellow colour in the crease. I then deepened the crease with the orange, then the warm brown, and the dark brown. I use a slightly smaller brush with each shade, to build the deepness without blurring the colours together. I then used the bronze shimmer across the lid. I then used the lightest purple shade from the NYX palette on my lower lash line.I then used the slightly warmer purple shade on top of this shade. I take the darker purple and smudge it out at the edge of the lower lash line, and under the brown shades from the lid.

I used the GWA (girls with attitude) Fairy lashes and the collection No clumps mascara on the lower lashes.

This is a super simple look, but I think that It’s really cute and perfect for summer. you obviously don’t have to do this combination of colour and placement, you can choose a brighter, or more subtle colour, like yellow, and also change the placement to the inner corner, waterline, or even do a bright liner. I’ll definitely be trying more looks like this in the future.

I hope you enjoyed reading about his quick look! Do you like a pop of colour in your eye looks too? I’d love to hear about it in the comments.

Until next time
