I’ve had my eye on this palette for a while now since I swatched it in store once. I’ve never had any barryM makeup before so I wasn’t sure what to expect, but the colours were so beautiful that I ended up buying it anyway. The colours in this palette are all metallic and shimmers and I’m always drawn to something that sparkles.
I just barely restrained myself from using it long enough to get a few photos of it, but after that I swiftly attempted to create a few looks with it.
The packaging is a Cardboard material with a mirror in the lid, and a magnetic closure. The design is of a start sky, which I think is obviously very fitting for the name, and the shades, and It has the words meteor storm printed in a holographic plastic.
Although the box is made of cardboard, it doesn’t feel bad quality, and I’m sure that as long as it stays dry, it will last quite a while.
As far as I can tell there aren’t any names for these shades in this palette, but they’re all so unique so it doesn’t matter too much to me.
Looking at these shades, despite there being only 8, really excited me. Some of the colours are shimmery, some glittery, some metallic, and some duo chrome, these one exciting me the most.
The formula of these are amazing. they’re so well pigmented, and are creamy and glide on so effortlessly. The colour payoff is amazing, I was really surprised. I didn’t want to prejudge them, but I really wasn’t sure how good the quality would be, being from the drugstore.
I swatched them on my arm. These swatches show how creamy and pigmented these shadows are. I did one swipe of the shadow and straight onto my arm.
I created a few looks using shadows froths palette, and honestly I’m quite in love with them!
This look i created using the Duo chrome green/pink shadow on the lid. I also used the yellow shimmer in my inner corner and brow bone. The rest of this look was created using the Revolution re-loaded iconic devision palette. Eyebrows are the revolution pro eyebrow cushion in Ebony. Lashes are Demi whispies, and liner is Rimmel glam eyes in black.
My second look, was definitely my favourite of the two.
I used the middle shadow, The Pink iridescent one, that shifts from peachy pink to gold pink. The rest of this look is created using the NYX vivid brights palette. The lashes ad brows are the same as the other picture.
This shows the different shift in the shadow a bit better.
I can already tell that I’ll be repurchasing this palette when I hit pan.
Have you used this palette? do you love it as much as me?
Thank you for reading,
until next time,
