Yellow summer stamping

With the weather being so, shall we say gloomy? Recently, I needed something bright to remind me of the sunshine, and what better than a bright summery manicure? I don’t often use yellow and orange, and I prefer cooler colours, but I really wanted to use summer colours, and nothing says sun like a bright yellow.

In my ciate mini Mani month advent calendar, I received ‘underwear’ their base coat, which I’ve been using recently. Although it does its job, it doesn’t protect the nail as well as other basecoats that I’ve tried.

I started with 2 coats of rimmel London’s ‘love bug’. I found this hard to apply, as I struggle with nail polishes with a matte finish.
I followed this with ‘sherbert sweetheart’ from the sweetie crush collection. This was my favourite polish from this collection as it’s the only one that has the bigger glitter in it, as well as the fine glitter.
I stamped ciate London ‘hopscotch’ on top. The polishes from ciate London that I have tried have so far impressed me. They seem to be very runny, but the brush size makes this manageable, and they stamp well.
I did not use a top coat for this manicure, as I enjoyed the texture left by the glitter polish.

These nails definitely brightened things up, and they made my skin look super tanned too, which is always a plus!

I have more nails to post soon!
